Taking CSCA at home — a setup checklist

A home online exam saves travel, but it adds technical risk. Prepare the day before.

The day before

• Read the official technical requirements on csca.cn and install anything they ask for.
• Charge your laptop and keep the charger plugged in during the exam.
• Test your camera and microphone if they are required.
• Clear your desk. Remove books, papers and extra devices unless the rules allow them.
• Tell your family the exam time so nobody disturbs you.

Practise in exam conditions

Sit at least one full mock with the same timing, the same desk and the same computer. Our mock exams copy the computer-based format: a question grid, flags for review, a countdown and automatic submission when time runs out.

On the day

• Start the system check early.
• Keep water nearby.
• If you get stuck on a question, flag it and move on.
