Which CSCA subjects does your target university need?

You do not need to take every CSCA subject. Universities — and often individual programmes — choose which ones they require.

Typical patterns

• Engineering and science programmes often ask for Mathematics, Physics and Professional Chinese (Science).
• Medicine and life sciences may add Chemistry.
• Humanities, business and social sciences often ask for Mathematics and Professional Chinese (Humanities).

These are general patterns, not rules. Always read the admissions guide of the specific university for the year you apply.

Use the university list

Our university list lets you filter by subject — for example, show only universities that require Physics. Each entry links to the university's website, and the button Take the matching mock opens the right mock exam.

The university data on cscapass is demo data and not yet verified. It shows how the feature works; do not use it to make application decisions.

Plan your sessions

If you need three subjects, consider whether to take them in one session or spread them across two. Spreading them gives you more preparation time for each.
