Preparing for CSCA from Indonesia

Indonesian students are one of the fastest-growing groups applying to Chinese universities. Here is how to prepare without wasting time.

Check the time zone

Exam times on the official site are given in Beijing time. Western Indonesia (WIB) is one hour behind Beijing; central (WITA) is the same as Beijing; eastern (WIT) is one hour ahead. Write your local exam time on paper.

Choose your question language early

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can be taken in Chinese or English. Pick one and practise only in that language — switching on exam day slows you down. On cscapass you can switch the site to Bahasa Indonesia for menus while practising questions in English.

Plan your Chinese

If your university asks for Professional Chinese, start early. Even ten questions a day in topic practice adds up to hundreds of questions before the exam.
